Terms of Service

Effective date: June 16, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PodHood (“PodHood,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PodHood.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use PodHood. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

The service

PodHood turns a podcast or YouTube channel into a structured, searchable library, breaking episodes into transcripts, chapters, key moments, topics, and people. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove functionality at any time.

Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for the channels and content you connect to PodHood. You represent that you have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to connect those channels and to have us process their content. You must not use PodHood with content that infringes the rights of others or violates any applicable law or third-party terms.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the service to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service except as permitted by law.

AI-generated content

Transcripts, summaries, and other structured metadata are generated in part by automated and AI systems. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it, and PodHood makes no warranty as to its accuracy.

Third-party services

PodHood integrates with third-party platforms and providers (for example, the source platforms you connect channels from). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Intellectual property

PodHood and its software, design, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as permitted here.

Availability

The service may be offered as a beta or evolving product and is provided on an “as available” basis. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security, or operational reasons, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PodHood will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using PodHood and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the service or other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PodHood operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The specific governing law and venue are placeholders to be finalized before launch.
